Woodpeckers Miter Master tools

Seems like an awful lot of money to spend on something with only a limited use.  Realistically, how often do you really have to run a perfect 45degree line across a piece of material?  In most cases, you make a mark where your cut needs to start or end, and set that mark at the saw to make your cut- no need for the line to extend all the way across the piece.

That's a good point, Bob.  Don't forget that these can also be used for verification AFTER you make the cut using a power tool or a hand tool.  I think these are some very specialized tools that someone will have to think about carefully before putting out that much money for.  That's definitely how I feel which is why I posed this thread, to help sway me one way or the other.  As much as I love Woodpeckers' tools, I'm not going to blindly buy anything unless it's useful and worth it for me.

I have a nice set of triangle 'squares'.  I use them often for a lot of 90º marking and once in awhile 45º marking or verification. These red ones might be nicer than the triangles, but the triangles are in my workbench drawer right now.
