Woodpeckers Story Stick or Rule with Rule Stop?

I appreciate a finely made tool as much as the next guy.  But the best measuring tool I have is the one that I have on me when I need it.

For that reason, I appreciate the General 6" pocket ruler.  It is perfectly accurate, slim and carries so easily carried I forget I have it on me.  One end is rounded to avoid tearing a pocket.  It has a pocket clip that doubles as a depth gage.

It measures "0" at the end of the ruler so I can take dimensions directly off the end.

The final advantage is that it costs $2.99 from Amazon (delivered).

Although the Incra-style ability to draw lines across a panel reads well, I never found it as practical as advertises.  I much prefer making three marks and using a long straight edge to draw the lines.  I find it more accurate and the line is generally more evenly drawn.
