Hi all,

Thought I'd share a few photos of my workbench setup I built last year - the 'design' is a collection of borrowed ideas from here and other websites, so thought i'd share back the results.

I wanted something that could be worked around from all angles, could support full sheets, but could also be taken apart and put in the back of the car when needed. The rail/fence system was another borrowed idea (from here maybe?) and kinda came about because I was just starting up and couldn't afford a proper MFT or table saw setup!

I made most of the setup from the waste bits from an early job - think it maybe cost about £60 to build and is still going strong. A CMS with the TS55 attachment would be nice though... :)

Thanks to everyone on here for the ideas that fed into the table - new improvements/modification ideas are always welcome!

Can you explain the purpose of the pin in the guides? At first I thought it was adjustable to square up the rail but in the other pic the guide is under the pin.

I think he is tipping the track under the head of the pin. Keeps the track from sliding out.

Can't see the pics, anyone else having trouble?

The images are hosted on an external website which is reporting that the bandwidth limits have been exceeded. That's why they don't appear.

I've contacted the OP to let him know about the problem. Hopefully, he will upload the photo directly to the forum.

Hi Folks, sorry about the trouble seeing the pics - will upload directly instead.

The pin in the pics is a 5mm allen bolt than stops the rail sliding back and forth, but allows the whole rail to hinge upwards to make it easier to get material in and out. The m8 bolts going vertically through the plywood stops can be screwed down to raise the whole assembly for thicker materials - a bit slow to adjust, but works fairly well.

Cheers
