I would like to buy a metric version of the OF1400, but on Bob Marino's site it says "The Metric version of this item, number 574342 is no longer available. "

Does anyone still have in stock one metric router, or any suggestions on how to get one? Worst case scenario, I travel to Europe with some frequency (next time in October) but like to avoid the hassles of shipping and warranty. Do Canadian dealers stock the metric?

Thank you

Festool USA has labels that go over the scale on the 1400 and 2200 and a replacement scale for the 1010 -- they told me that is the only difference.

koenbro, I could not find in your profile where, geographically, you are located. I do not know if you may be interested in this option, but perhaps it will help. I have an OF1400 metric router which is technically brand new, and I also have an accessory for it which I no longer remember what it is (possibly a rail guide, need to check). I could consider selling both of them (there is no value for me in selling the router while keeping the accessory) if you would be open to a price close to the current pricing of these parts.

I bought the router about a year and a half ago from a local dealer (so it is under warranty), have a receipt, and most likely have it registered with Festool under my name (I can only check on this and find the actual purchase date when I get home after work). I bought it in preparation for the kitchen remodel project which I worked on last summer. At that time, I had the idea of making cabinets myself and had a tentative plan to buy a Festool router table as well, but ended up ordering semi-custom cabinets - which was the right decision, considering the amount of labor that kitchen remodel ended up requiring, with electrical, tile, plumbing, etc. I only plugged plugged the router in  once after bringing it home to make sure it spins, but never used it for actual work nor did I even install a router bit in it.

Feel free to send me a PM if you are interested. It is not posted for sale anywhere, so there is no rush if you need to think about it. I am in Portland, OR.

If you cant find a Metric one just buy the Imperial one and get the conversion part(s) from Festool. Its only the depth scale that needs to be replaced.
