This is a rather short (40s) video from what appears to be someone in France.  It shows the Rotex 150 hogging through some rough timber.  We recommend using it with dust extraction to increase the life of the abrasives, etc. but this shows how quick it can remove material.

Of course being a dual-mode sander, in RO mode it is very well suited for fine sanding.

Not one of your better finds Shane [unsure]

That's why I need you guys to do some videos and post them up...  [popcorn]

I'd be happy to help if you want to send me a RO150  [big grin]

Got lots of old ugly wood that could use the loving touch of a 150 and saphir 20 grit.

If and when I get a reason to buy one ill do a video but I cant really see anytime soon I need a expensive sander. I got a Makita belt sander and Fein Multi master and metabo orbital which all combined get me by.  Sorry

I agree I prefer a short sentence  and Videos    Videos are fun to watch and really show things much better than any one can explain

as a long term user of the rotex 125 and an owner of bunch of orbital sanders and the fein multimaster i have to say that life without a rotex is no life at all, all people sceptical of the rotex should really buy the 125 or 150 and use it for the 30 days and see if you would even think about returning it,

-the papers stay clean when sanding with a vacuum so throughout the life of the machine you are more than likely to save more than triple the expense of the rotex just on sand paper alone,

-than consider the fact that the rotex can remove material more accurately, precisely and quickly than a belt sander or any orbital,

-also the dual mode can provide you with two completely different end finishes in the two different modes using the same paper, 120 on orbital will give you a way smoother finish than 120 in what i call rough mode which will take off more material which you would need about a 60 or lower grit on a orbital sander with less swirl marks

-the fact i can use one paper and get a face frame from rough to perfect without switching sand paper or sander

so in reality is the 90 dollar sander so much more of a saving over the span of 5 years ? if you do at least a couple of hours worth of sanding a week, you will not regret buying one, when i bought my rotex nearly two years ago i have bought a 100pack of about 10 different grit papers and a assortment systeiner containing about 150 assorted papers and i can honestly say that i still have more than half left.
