I've just filled in 2 warranty forms for the extended warranty, both were different and went to different places.

One goes to Germany (written in german), but labelled Allemagne which actually french for Germany. Strange or what ? and the other to England.

Some of the info required is a bit confusing as the additional forms attached to help were not in english !! Both machines were bought from a dealer in Inverness who is selling off old stock at vastly reduced prices (for Festool that is), so all above board.

Every other Festool I've bought has been registered by the dealer so not had to fill in these forms before.

Hi,

If it were me, I'd chuck the forms out & register the tools online via the Festool UK website. It's much easier, and you know they won't go missing in the post ;) .

i aslo use online reg,
just fill in your member no and the tool number and press send

Your member number will be on all the warranty confirmation letters for the tools you've registered previously.

I've just checked my warranty forms, and I have 3 different layouts on the letters.

The member number is listed as 'ID', and is an 8-digit number. Here are the three different layouts I have, with the locations marked in red:

Hope that helps!!!

Okay I tried to register online but it wouldn't accept any or all of my postcode. So I registered as a new customer. On the dealer/supplier side I entered the dealer where I bought the items but obviously didn't know the dealers name or registered Festool number.

Anyway I filled in all the details I knew including serial numbers etc and the checked out the known festool suppliers in and around Inverness (Scotland) and this particular dealer was not recognised. Also it would not let me logon with my member number ID either !!

As with all these things, its very frustrating !!! Will this affect my warranty registration ?

I let my dealer fill them out.

But the festool Database isn't all that intelligent...

Okay, first things first. Have you registered with the 'myFestool' online service? You need to do this first.

Click on the 'myFestool' botton at the top right of the Festool UK Homepage. This will take you to a login page. Enter the e-mail address you want to use, and then click on this option:

You can then complete the registration, entering all your details (including your member ID number). Once you're up and running with myFestool, you can complete the registrations easily from the 'myFestool' home page:

Apologies if you've already done this. If it won't recognise your postcode, try it with/without a space in, and in both capitals & lower case. I don't remember if I had an issue with that when I registered or not, but it's quite common on some websites.
