1.5Ah Battery for CS15 / Ti15 Drills?

I have 5Ah, 4Ah and 3Ah  15volt batteries for my  CS15  / Ti15 Drills.

I’d like to get a smaller / lighter weight battery for these tools – possibly a 1.5 Ah.

Does anyone know if a 15volt compatible 1.5Ah battery exists either Festool or aftermarket?

As far as I remember, they never made a single-row pack for the 15.
There existed a 2.6... but that is still dual row 470 gram. (Catalog 2009-2010)

How is your Ti15 going?

I must admit I've avoided using mine since they got bad press early though it had always worked perfectly well.

Well, you may be able to get the 12V 1,5Ah packs ... for the light jobs it can be fine.

I used my DRC 18/4 a couple times with these and the CARVEX (both officialy 10,8-18V tools) worked fine as well, just a bit slower.

BTW, did anyone try to mod the new 12V packs to fit on the older 12V and 15V tools?

Festool has the voltage/current protections in the packs, so it should work safely (for the packs).

I tried to fit them, but haven't tried to mod either the battery or the tool.  I was more interested at the time in seeing whether or not it worked, and didn't have the energy or patience to figure out what was stopping it.

I'm more surprised that the new 12V batteries slot in to the SYS-Rock but don't latch.  I would have thought they would be gated/keyed out like the tools.  That also may ultimately be what prevents them from being used on the older 12V tools; inability to latch/lock on once you get past the keyways.

Since when? The whole idea Lithium packs didn't fit on older tools while older NiCD and NiMh packs did fit on newer tools was because of the missing overcurrent protection in the tools.
