Can anyone tell me the difference  between a CXS Li 10.8v  2.6ah and the TXS Li 10.8v  2.6ah. Thanks Giff

That's the only difference. Some prefer C-handle, some the T-handle. I prefer the C on the small CXS. But I prefer the T on bigger drills like the T-18.

Try them if you can. Either in store or with festool's trial period money back guarantee.

Yeah, just the handle. Purely personal preference, neither is fundamentally better than the other. You need to handle both to see what one suits you best.

I personally prefer the CXS because it feels better balanced in the hand when using the index finger down the barrel grip.

Thanks for the tips. I will try and pop in to Axminster if they have them both. G

handled both thinking i'd prefer the cxs but after holding it, the cxs seemed heavier and didn't balance as well as the txs.

It's definitely a preference thing. I thought the opposite, the CXS to me felt better balanced when laying my index finger parallel down the length of the body.  Ultimately, they're the same tool so if the TXS feels better I'm sure it will serve you well.

Hi!

This is very important - because as far as I know the CXS was designed with exactly this way of holding/handling it in mind.

Then again, like everyone else said - same drill, different style - take the one that fits your hand and way of working/handling best. :)

Kind regards,
Oliver

This is too late to help but FWIW the LED sits lower (on the T's battery) so casts less of a shadow on the target than the C's (higher on the handle).
