"Festool-a-Friend" and get 10% off your next Festool purchase from us!

Here's what you need to do...

1) A friend of yours, new to Festool, buys a new Festool power tool from festoolproducts.com during the month of December 2015.

2) You buy new Festool tools, consumables and accessories from festoolproducts.com from December 2015 thru January 31, 2016.

3) You then submit proofs of both purchases by February 29, 2016, and Festool will send you a rebate of 10%* of the entire amount of your purchase.

Looks like it's time to encourage your friend to give Festool a try, huh? Forward them a link to our website with your recommendations for their first Festool power tool.

Start shopping for Festool!

Disclaimer: Total maximum rebate is limited to $599.99 (US). The 10% rebate applies to the retail price of all new Festool items purchased by you, exclusive of taxes and shipping. Qualifying friend must not be a current Festool owner. Rebate does not apply to friends purchase. Both you and your friend must be residents of the US or Canada (excluding Quebec.)

Well, I'll ask the obvious here Shane...

What if our "friend" ends up being a little loose on exactly how new s/he is to Festool?  [scratch chin]

[member=13462]live4ever[/member], I would simply direct you to the web page http://festoolusa.com/friend and have you read the terms of the promotion. It's essentially what I posted. Proof of purchase, your friend's name, phone # and email address must be submitted and presumably not in Festool's tool registration database as an existing customer.

Is there a downloadable rebate form available yet? It says it would be by Monday, but I did not see anything on from the link.

I appreciate Festool trying to both lower the price to me and recruit new customers - but this doesn't seem like a great approach:  "hey friend, remember that really amazing Festool gear I always talk about?  You should buy some so I can get a 10% rebate on my purchase."  Seems kind of slimy.

I think in the other thread someone suggested you BOTH should get 10% - seems much more pallatable.

I thought the same thing

This is really strange way of doing things. I'm new to festool as I bought my first tool just over a year ago and growing the collection pretty fast. Now I want a XL700. Can someone be my new friend?

I too am looking for a friend.  But I'm afraid you and I can't be friends.  It just wouldn't work.  [crying]

I could get my lady friend to buy a power tool and make this work. However, there is nothing that I want at this time  that makes 10% off other goodies worthwhile. If this had been offered before I bought the Vecturo, I would have been all over it. If they repeat the offer when the HKC comes out, ditto. Now, not interested.

Does Toolnut.com offer the normal 10% discount when bundling with a dust extractor? For instance, bundling the OF 1010 and the CT 26?

Yup, sure do!

Just use the dropdown option on any tool's page to select an MFT or CT to bundle with it for 10% off.

Or even splitting the 10% off into 5 and 5 would've worked, but I guess you can work that out privately.

Anyways, who's going to start the "referral" thread?  [tongue]

I agree with one of the posters above, seems kinda slimy.

Festool can obviously afford to discount their tools some. If they think none of us are telling our friends and showing them our tools, they are out to lunch and or on crack. Why not just offer the 10% discount or 10% to go towards Festool product/accessories so we cannot take the cash and go somewhere else with it, we'd all jump in and buy more tools so we would have more to show and tell our friends. I have about $6k worth of Festool product I am contemplating on getting, 10% would push me over the edge...right now! Really don't want to try and coax my friend into buying something so I can benefit from their purchase. Not cool.

Could not agree more with the negative reaction.  Give both the 10% or forget it.

When I first saw the promotion on facebook, figured it was going to be 10% for both buyers not just one, one of the guys gets jipped.  If it were for both purchasers, I'd be looking for a friend because then I'd go buy a track saw this month.

Guess I could buy a track saw and my wife buy a sander because she's always wanted one and doesn't own anything from festool [big grin]

That is what  I was thinking also. Wife would love a new sander for X-mas. This needs to re done.

Might cause more than a few to abuse the Festool 30 day return policy to get the 10% off. I do not consider this a good promo, and agree the term slimy fits it.

On the other hand 10% off with no hassles would probably sway me to push the order button for more than a few things in my cart. 20% and there would be no hesitation. It is not too late for Festool to change the promo making it fairer for all parties...

I'm actually surprised Festool wants us just to try and get a friend to buy "a power tool" verses a power tool with a dust extractor.

Slimy promotion which jips the new buyer, classy.

Festool, we all pay a premium on the tools we love and use all year round. We are already sharing with our friends and colleagues. Quit being cheap and run a 10% off sale period. Buy a power tool to qualify even, and then anything after whether tools or accessories qualify for 10% as well.

As per the email I received today re this promotion. You are welcome for making 2015 a wonderful year for Festool. I have certainly tried to do my part. Now fix the promotion to 10% off for anything that has Festool on it while you still have the time to save face
