I bought the LR32 off of ebay a month or so ago.  Not knowing that there were two different kinds of plates (the buyer didn't specify either) I ended up with the plate for the 1010.  Guess what?  I don't have a 1010, I have the 1400.  I'm not sure if this should go in the classifieds or not but I was wondering if there's anyone out there that has the LR32 plate drilled for the 1400 but uses a 1010 that would be willing to trade plates with me?

The newer plates are made so they can be used with either a 1010 or 1400 router.  If you cannot find a person willing to swap plates with you, you can modify the plate you now have.  For use with the 1400, all that is required are two precisely drilled holes in the plate to fit the 6 mm drilled and tapped holes in the base of the 1400 router.  These holes are located diametrically apart from one another.  you will also need a pair of ~20 to 25 mm long x 6 mm diameter pan head (or flatter) screws to attach the plate to the bottom of your 1400 router.  You should be able to use the removable [light brown] fiber-reinforced phenolic plate from your 1400 router and use it as a template to layout where to drill your LR 32 plate.  If you don't get these holes precisely lined up, you can enlarge them and use the centering mandrel in your router when mounting your modified plate to ensure it is centered.

Great options from Dave and Bill.
I will add this , whatever method you chose the main thing that matters is that the centering mandrel can be plunged thru the plate without binding during set up.  When you get the router positioned and set to do that you are 100% accurate.
The router only needs to be oriented in such a way to be convenient for use and centered then tightened.

I use the 1010 set up and each time I use it I need to position the router with the mandrel and tighten nobs till it's centered. Once centered its all good.

So if you need to drill the plate go for it , no problem. If not use Bill's method.  8)
