There seems to be a bit of confusion regarding the trade-up, so I want to be clear: you can trade in any tool from any manufacturer in any condition!

I assume it has to be a power tool.  In other words, I can't hand in an old screwdriver as the 'tool' eligible for trade in.

I believe it does not have to be a power tool but can be any tool---even an old allen wrench.

Tyler from Festool USA has confirmed it can be pretty much anything, an allen wench, a busted tape measure... does NOT have to be an actual power tool, nor an equivalent item to whatever Festool you decide to purchase.
