1400 Dust Collection - v2

The dust collection adapter does not work with any bit wider than 1.25" or more than 1" deep.  This leaves slab flattening and many other applications that produce a large volume of waste really difficult...another example of poor design on dust collection for the 1400.

Use the chip catcher if doing edge work. Catches a LOT of it. What type of route are you making?  Some are just piss poor for dust collection (groove routing, etc. you can also use the larger hose. It helps sometimes.

You can install the bit, lower it, then open the window on the dust collection shroud and slip it over the flats on the spindle. Just don’t retract the bit through the shroud.
