My t15 does not work properly anymore but the batteries still seem fine. I know you can use the 15v batteries in the 18v tools, has anyone tried this  in the pdc drill or jigsaw? I sometimes see the body only versions come up at not a bad price, just wondered how much the performance is affected?

Thanks in advance, Doug

Only used briefly with DRC.  The 15V battery will operate the 18V DRC (/PDC) fine, however the speed is reduced, ie will not go to full 3800 rpm in high speed.

I suspect that the torque will also be down, however, have not directly tested this.

I think you will be fine to regard the 15V battery as a spare, just not the primary power source as you will be operating the PDC below full performance.

Under powering a motor is no problem but it will run the battery down a lot quicker and as John says you will notice a drop in power during heavy use

I use 3ah 15v battery in my jigsaw as standard no problem at all I have a pdc as well with 18v battery and the jigsaw seem to run the same.
I did put a 15v in the dril the other day and did notice it was running a little slower then normal

Cheers
