Hello, can anyone answer me what can happen if I put an 18v battery with 4.2 amps on my c15 drill that has 14.4v battery with 4.2 amps?

thank you in advance.

You can't do it. It is designed so it won't fit physically.

Fizz, bang, pop, maybe not in that particular order.

I'm sure it won't actually fit, but 18V into a 14V tool will kill it. It doesn't matter about the Amperage value.

Don't try it  [eek]

You can however power your 18v tools with the 14.4 though! Just not the other way around.

ok guys, I thought so and thx.
I hate that festool doesn't make a c18. I like the C handle and would like to buy a carvex with 18v battery and I hate that I cannot use it (the battery) on my c15. They loose because I won't buy the carvex. By the way, I don't need the 15v carvex if someone tells me to buy it.

Thank you.

I wasn't sure if I should have gone cordless or not but suffice to say, I went with the T system (15 and ti15) but I bought my Carvex first and went with the corded version. I'm strictly hobby and DIY and don't mind plugging my tool in. I do however LOVE my Carvex!
