Hi all can someone enlighten me on the 18v batteries I’m currently looking at replacing 4 of my old 4.2 li ion batteries and for some reason the Bluetooth type are much cheaper £55each compared to £70 for the standard my question is are the Bluetooth type for a specific use or are they ok for non Bluetooth tools and everyday use
Thanks bobby

They work with every 18 volt tool.

The batteries do not communicate with the tool their inserted to via bluetooth, but to a vac that is possibly connected.

I wouldn’t buy the BT version. Get the 3,1 version (thinner).

BT only useful when you combine it with the vac.  And the 18v has very limited use for that (sanders use a different battery).

If you have a BT vac, the remote is awesome!

In the UK the prices are cheaper for the blue tooth batteries because the big dealers buy them in greater quantities passing on bigger discounts to us.

But £55 is very good indeed. Where is that from?

+1 on the 3,1 battery, they come in Bluetooth version as well: BP 18 Li 3,1 CI
Highly recommended, lightweight and good capacity.

Not sure if anywhere is doing individual 5.2 BT  batteries for that price, but FFX sell two for 119.
