Has anyone doubled up their vacuums? Lots of suction. Do you think it would harm anything on vacuums?

Not me, but shouldn’t cause any harm.

Try to get rid of that right angle fitting and use a larger diameter hose to the saw for better performance. Might not need to double up then?

The short larger hose direct from the saw to the bottom vac only would probably give a larger air flow than the two put together.

It was just a experiment people thats the reason for some of fittings that’s all I had . Definitely a lot more suction.

Yeah...I fail to see the advantage of all that mess, especially considering the port size at the saw itself...it must even whistle

I haven't connected two to a single hose but I have stacked the CT-SYS on a Mini for a compact way to have two vacs on site.

Per the Hagen Poiseuille equation, you're going to get a dramatically bigger effect from increasing hose diameter, and a reduction in hose length. Without doing any quick calculations, not sure how close you would be to choke flow (Point at which an increase in pressure does not provide an increase in flow) with a dual DC setup, but I can guarantee that the benefit will be larger shortening your hose.

No whistle.Big difference when cutting mdf. Not to good with quarter round sucks up off cuts

It would be great if you were trimming in someone’s house and you were concerned about dust.

I am looking for a source for a short hose between the Festool Vac and an Oneida Dust Deputy. Where did you get the hoses and fittings?

Connecting two vacuums in parallel does not increase suction (static pressure). It increases throughput. Which is mostly negated by a narrow hose that follows. You can also run into problems if you connect two vacs with very different SP and/or throughput.
Connecting two vacs in series will increase SP.

A good analogy to this is connecting batteries in parallel and series.

On my Kapex setup, going to a larger diameter short hose greatly improved collection compared to the long narrow standard hose. On 90 degree cuts, collection is almost perfect. I have a Festool vac nestled under the UG stand.
