Good evening,
I have a 2000E/1 router, its an old but loyal beast of around 15 years. its still as smooth and reliable as the day i brought it. But unfortunately  have miss placed the copy rings, i have looked in and contacted several local dealers but all say they are now unavailable. i am primarily in the market for a 25 mm ring for kitchen counter tops. Can anyone please help

Hi,

It would be helpful if you mentioned your country. I don't have an older catalog with the OF 2000 Router in it, but you can call Festool and ask them the skew number and if it is still available. It may  not be, since the OF 2000 is out of production for many years, but it's worth a call.

HI,
yea sorry. my country of origin is the UK. and i think it was the 27/30mm ring, well spotted.

I'm not certain, but the the hole spacing for the guide rings use a standardized spacing for some router brands.

The OF2000 router was manufactured for Festool by Mafell, although with some modifications to the Mafell version. I believe I've seen it mentioned that that router used the same collet type as the Dewalt/Elu DW625, and the screw to base guide bushings may also have used the same dimensions.

If you have a local tool store that stocks a good amount of router supplies and accessories like Trend, they might have a guide bushing that will fit, or at least one you can use to check the spacing.

25mm was never available.  [sad]

27mm  - 487018
30mm  - 487016

it was also part of a set  -  487441

That ring was for using Porter Cable style guides.

And they don't come anywhere near 27-30mm in size.  [eek]

Still, a good link for this thread.
