The new 2007 catalogs are in the mail and I can tell you it is worth the wait. Waaaaaaaaaaay better graphics and information than previous catalogs. Festool did good!

Thanks, Bob.  I was wondering if I was left out of the distribution.  It's been a long time since I last signed on to FOG.  I'm sure I'll find something else I "have to have."

Bob,

I'd love to have a PDF download.  (As in NOW!) ;D

Thanks,

Dan.

p.s., Do they have the Kapex in the catalog?  (Say "Yes".)

Hi Bob,
Here is should be upgrade for DS400, ES125, RS400 toward DTS,ETS and RTS models. Do you know if old series sanders will sell for discounted prices or new ?T? series sanders will be sold with ?introduced? prices?
Thanks

  Dan,

PDF version may be up by tonight on Festool's site, but nothing on the KAPEX.

Victor,

Yes, the newer model sanders are in there, but the older versions, if stiff available, will not be sold at discounts, nor will the newer ones (since they are not "new" tools, only updated versions) be offered at introductory prices.

Still no 2007 Catalog PDF. How long do we have to wait???? :-\

Missing catalog answers:

  • They are just running late, just because they're late.
  • The printer ran out of dark blue-black and green ink. (although that wouldn't affect PDFs)
  • Festool is trying to implement a Steve Jobs "one more thing" item into the catalog.
  • Festool is still working on getting dust extraction to work with the catalog.
  • Festool is awaiting the catalog to get UL approval.

I'm guessing it was/is the last option...only for a tool(s), not the catalog.  ;D

Funny thing though, I still reference my 96/97 catalog.

Hey, Fred, you moonlighting as a writer for Letterman?  ;D  You could do some top ten lists.

Well, the PDF is about 25mb, so it would take a bit of time to download, so they are working on reducing it to a more managable size.

Bob

Bob,

25Mb?  That's large but doable.  Ask them to just post the current file.  Just make sure that the title includes the files size.  When the resized version comes out, add that too.

Frankly, I'd like to see high quality pics at high resolution.  Once downloaded, it's always available.  (Disk space is cheap.)

Regards,

Dan.

I agree with Dan, lets just get this thing out already. ;)

For many people who don't have high speed internet access available or choose decide it's not for them, it is important to have a lower bandwidth version of the catalog.  That said...

High speed internet is available for many of us.  A 25Mb file is not a big issue.    Depending on internet loading, the download time for this should be something like 1-2 minutes using my connection.

Please, just throw it out there!

Regards,

Dan.
