Is there such a thing?

If so, can I get one from someone?

If not when will they become available and how can I get one then?

Harry,

A 2010 catalog has not been released yet.  In another post here today it was mentioned - but not confirmed - that there might not be an all inclusive catalog but rather some supplements.  If you have registered any of your tools you will be on the mailing list.

Uh-oh...

How do I do that?

I have not seen a 'registration card' in any of my gear. Just the owners/instruction manual and the green card which says 'keep for my records'.

Why do I feel like I should be _really_ embarrassed right about now?

I have never registered one tool.  Somehow, Festool knows what I have though.

I think Woodcraft does it for me.

Many of the dealers register your tools for you.  Some don't.  I too was under the impression that my tools were registered.  I called Festool about an issue I had with my CT-22 and they didn't have me down - or my wife who purchases most of my tools as gifts.  They registered me then.

One of the great things about registering you tools is that they record the serial numbers and maintain a database.  They will know what dealer sold it etc.  Also, IF I remember correctly, if the tools are stolen, you can notify them so that if the tool ever comes in for service...

Shane,  is there a good way to handle this without causing mayhem at Festool?

The best way for us is to just head over to the website and submit a catalog request.  You can also view the most recent catalog online in PDF format on that page.

If you're already in our system, no harm and you won't get multiples.  If you aren't we'll add you.  Dealers in the US and Canada are supposed to register your tool on your behalf.

Well, seeing as about 1/2 of what I got came via Rockler (which won't be happening any more) I cannot help but wonder if it actually happened (or not). Is there an online whiznit to check/correct that?

No, there's not.  If you want to send me your information, I'll make sure we have everything recorded.  Just PM it or email it to me at your convenience.

Please note that we do a very good job of tracking serial numbers and sales information for warranty purposes.  And, generally speaking dealers are quite good about providing this information.  Many dealers provide us with a monthly bulk download of tool registrations, including Rockler.  You will not be denied warranty service in an instance that your dealer failed to register your tool on your behalf.

Thanks.
