Hi,
I have just managed to get myself a lightly used CTL 22e dust extractor in 240v for a great price. All my tools are 110v from when I used to work on sites, if I plug the 3kva transformer into the CTL 22 it draws enough power to kick in the auto function (with no tools running). I have been told that it is possible to use a lower rated transformer so the auto function wont kick in till the tool is activated.
Anyone know what the highest rated KVA transformer I can use without activating the auto function?
I have a large dewalt mitre saw that is 1700w, if I could get a 1.8kva to work it would be ideal but fear that still might be too high.
I usually run a TS55(1200w) and a bosch sander(750w) so a 1.2kva minimum is required, it would be handy to be able to run the big mitre saw also!
Any advice much appreciated!
Kenny
