We are currently offering Blaklader's Brawny Pants in the color moss only at 30% off the regular price of $74.95, so now $52.46.

Additionally, we have added the new Steel-Flex next generation knee pads to our website. Inventory is on its way and should arrive any day. These are available in two flavors: as inserts for work pants like Blaklader or as strapped versions, starting at $54.95 per pair.

Can the strapped version knee pads be removed from the straps to be worn in the Blaklader pants or do you have to purchase both versions?

[member=10890]Bhend18[/member], great question. From the photos, it doesn't appear that the straps or the cushion is removable from the strapped version. Let me check and get back to you to confirm.

[member=10890]Bhend18[/member], got an answer! The strapped version can be used in work pants with the straps removed.

By the way, we should have these in stock on Tuesday-ish.

Thanks Shane. That definitely makes it more appealing.

Quick question: Has Blaklader changed the webbing loops for clipping measuring tapes, etc, from flat-sewn to tubular webbing yet?

I have an old pair of high-end Blaklader pants (they're the fancy black and grey model) and I get on with them ok, but the webbing loops fray out quickly, which is a pretty big inconvenience on a high end piece of work wear. I've switched to Bjornklader mostly because of this (and I like the pocket design a bit better) but can get Blaklader gear easier here in the PNW.
Cheers, and thanks for all that you still do here on the FOG. :)

[member=14028]epicxt[/member], the newer Blaklader gear does have webbing. However, the ones we have discounting may or may not. These are slow movers in that color, hence the reduced pricing.

Thanks Shane. I'll check the local distributor and see if they've improved the quality of the webbing yet.
Cheers!

For those who order the knee pads, those have shipped. So, they are now in stock if you were waiting to order once we have them in stock.

Thanks everyone.

These are really good pads. Did 6+ hours crawling around on Pergo and the knees never noticed it. Almost positive I landed on stray drywall screws more than a few times, too. Left them in the pants while laundering and they emerged from the dryer unscathed. I'm sure the rubber will deteriorate eventually, but they're easily worth the money.

[member=41196]Nat X[/member], thanks for the review. Glad you liked them.  [thumbs up]

i agree on the knee pads being are the most comfortable I have ever had.  Ive had 4 knee surgeries and decided to pony up on these versus the ones I normally get ($30-$40 at home depot/lowes) and while they work, they always leave me a little uncomfortable.  These are the most comfortable I have every had.  We will see how they hold up but so far so good.
