35mm hose with mini vac question

My dealer told me that the largest size hose than can be used with a mini vac is the 27mm.  Is that true? (I don't have one yet to check it myself)  I was planning to get a Mini with a 35mm hose and have that dedicated to the Kapex.  I did a search on this with no luck.

You can use all of the Festool hoses with all of the Festool Dust Extractors sold in NA.

It's a 36mm hose not 35mm maybe that's why you couldn't find anything. It fits fine I just got one for my midi which is essentially the same vac and it fits perfectly. I bought the universal cleaning set which comes with a 36mm hose. Then cut the 3.5m hose in half to use with my kapex

You can use the 36 mm hose just fine with the mini.

There is one thing though, you can't attach a systainer to the top of the mini when the 36 mm hose is used. This is because the 27 mm hose that comes with the Mini has a special angled adapter that fits in the hole on top of the vac, making the hose leave the hose guard via the front side. The 36 mm has a straight adapter so the hose sticks straight up.
