3D printed RO 90 sandpaper alignment jig

I bought one.  I just wanted to say I really like it and it's been more the useful,  necessary no, but really makes things easy.  I'm currently using my RO90 to sand down an outdoor teak furniture set which has been neglected for the last 10 years.  I stack about a dozen pieces on the alignment jig, and when the current one is past it's useful life, I peel it off, place the jig on and slide a new piece of sandpaper down.  This take less then 10 sec, and allows me to NOT have to put my reading glasses on to line up the holes correctly.

Nice! Never thought of loading multiples . Maybe I should call it a sandpaper magazine? [emoji41]

I vote for 'Sandpaper Speedloader'.

[big grin]

Appropriately descriptive, aptly applied, and has a nice ring to it, no?

I can see a gameshow competition....maybe a reality show?

Great idea, if you're serious? The prize for best name could be one of the 'Sandpaper Speedloaders'...

[thumbs up] [poke]

Shapeways is offering free shipping through 9/3. I thought about buying this jig when this was first discussed but cost+ shipping was too high for me.  Now it's not.

I've made this jig available for sale at Shapeways.com:

You can see it here

Note that there is also a "linear" version of the jig which costs a bit less, but doesn't look quite as cool!

Also,  you can choose from many different materials. The ones shown are simply "Strong, White, and flexible", but it might be
worth getting it printed in one of the "polished" options, since it will reduce friction when removing the jig (the prongs are .5 mm undersized to facilitate that as well).

If you do order one, please give me any feedback you may have.

I think I will glue mine to a larger 100mm sized wood circle to make it easier to remove the jig.

Thx! Hopefully someday I'll have sold enough to actually collect the money ....they have min!

That is a pretty sweet little device. Sadly the RO 90 is the one sander I don't have...
