I was looking for a design for two bedside tables and found plans for a 4 drawer chest from The New Yankee Workshop.  I had previously made the bed these were going beside out of walnut.  The plans called for a plywood case and I had previously found a bargain on prefinished walnut plywood.

The build consisted of dust frames dadoed into the side of the case which made the case easy to build.  There were lots of trim pieces to make for the case and for the drawer edging.  The case parts were cut with the TS 75, the legs were mitered on the Kapex, dominoes were used for the leg miters and the Festool 1400 router was used for the trim and pattern routing of the legs.  The drawers were made with half blind dovetails using the Leigh jig and the Festool 1400 router. I used the DTS 400 sander for the sanding.  Finish was sherwin williams lacquer using the Apollo eco 4 turbine hvlp.

Very nice indeed.
I like the beading detail  around the drawers. I have an old antique  set that  has that feature.

It looks a very fine detail.
I think  the  drawer  front is  rebated  after  the dovetailing  is completed  and the drawer  is  finished.
Then the fine  beading is inlaid  around the edge.

But can anyone explain how  that incredibly  fine beading is made?
Its looks  no wider that  5mm.

Edit. After some  searching  I've found its called a  cock  moulding. [big grin]

The drawer fronts are walnut plywood with solid wood edging that's was 7/8 inch wide so as to overhang the front of the drawer.  The edging was cut on the table saw to approximate thickness and then sanded to 1/4 inch thickness with a drum sander. I used a 1/8 inch round over bit to make the profile on the edging. The edging was then glued to the drawer front.  I then dovetailed the ends of the drawer fronts.
