Reconditioned Tool Program - Final Month - Enhanced Program

Beginning Tuesday, October 14, we will increase the customer discount on all remaining reconditioned tools to 40%, regardless of condition or current discount level. Customers have a full month to take advantage of the increased savings, with the program closing Friday, November 14, 2014.

Just to clarify...

From 10/14-11/14, we will be shipping the reconditioned tool in the best condition we currently have available.

So, if we have a "10%" condition tool and you order quickly, you'll get that.
If we have only a "30%" condition tool, you'll get that.
The quicker you order, the better the condition you will likely receive.

This is the only time we have ever offered 40% off and we do not plan to ever do it again. So, this is your chance.

Shane

Shane,

Can you give a link to the latest list of available products please....

Thanks,
Frank

FYI:
I know some dealers will be up at midnight tonight to take orders.

We will be available at 9am tomorrow morning for anyone who is interested in buying a recon tool.

Phone number: 301.984.9033 ask for Dave or Matt

Thanks Everyone.

I want to order immediately but, are you saying that we are ordering blind?  It's very tempting to attempt to order a 10% reconditioned tool at a 40% discount or, if the resulting procurements are blind are we purchasing mostly 30% used type reconditioned tools?

Jack

Jack,

I'm saying that you will get the best condition reconditioned tool we have in stock at the time your order is processed. We cannot guarantee the condition beyond saying that it will be somewhere between unused and moderately used, including the possibility that the original packaging is damaged (tears, spots and dust).

The earlier you order, the better the likelihood that you will receive the best condition tool.

Thanks Shane,

I think what I was asking is does my supplier know what condition the tool is in if I order it at the strike of midnight or am I ordering kinda blind?  If I call my suppler at 12:00 and placed the order does he (or she) know what condition is available at that time that they process the order?

Thanks,

Jack

Wow!  That was fast!!! [crying]

Got up this morning in Nigeria at 5:00 AM with the intention of calling Uncle Bob for one of the HL850's and an MFK700.  (That's 12:00 AM EST). Looked at the list and they were already GONE!! [scared].

Oh well....Back to MSRP. [sad]

Cheers,
Frank

EDIT: I have now seen that dealers were taking PM-sent "reservations" for products contrary to the stated Midnight start. Personally, I think that is unethical due to the sale structure as originally posted.

"unethical"??  Not a bit... could there be a better way??  Perhaps.

I equate it to telling someone to hold you place in line.  With the way that this program is run, there isn't a current "fair" way to work it.  If Festool had the ability to order online their refurbished items, then I think that could be accomplished.  But then there will be hoards of folks screaming foul anyways because they had to get up at some un-Godly hour in order to place their order.

We all know that the refurbs are a gamble... it is the nature of that business.  Plus, there is still a chance that an 850  or MFK700 show up within the month so put your name in the hat.

Cheers.  Bryan.

Does anyone know when these will ship from Festool? Also, should I expect a confirmation e-mail from either the vendor or Festool? Thanks.
