Hey Guys and Gals,
I have a project I am in the planning stages of for a good friend. He owns a teppanyaki table restaurant and needs new wood tables that the flat grill sits on. The flat top grill has a lip that overhangs the wood table on all 4 sides by 1 inch all the way around and can either sit flush or have a slight lip above the table. My initial thoughts were to use the domino xl and join to pre fab maple butcher block counter tops or do a large individual maple strips 1.25"x1.5". Which do you think would be fine?
I am leaning towards the two prefab counters because of the less planning needed after glue up, but not 100% set.
My second question is, any suggestions for a type of sealant or gasket to mate the two surfaces where the grill overhang sits?
