I making a frame for my son's college diploma.
For some reason I always have trouble with these, so this one I am going to try sticking a 4mm domino in.
Is there any reason this is not a good idea?  Obviously the positions have to be precisely right or it won't come together, but besides that...

Is there anything special to know about the 4mm dominoes?  I haven't used them before, are all the settings the same as for other sizes?  I vaguely remember that something doesn't read properly (perhaps the depth?) but I don't remember what.

Thanks.

When using the 4mm cutter with 1/2" material you will need to set the plunge depth 10mm higher than you actually want to plunge since the bit is 10mm shorter than all other bits.  So, to mortise 1/2" stock, you would set the plunge depth to 20mm (which actually only goes 10mm deep).
