Love your work! Do you have any detail pics you can share on the build of the door and stairs?

I'm going to start detailing my builds, it's a hard habit to get into....
When this house is finished andalll polished up I plan on taking more detail pics a give an outline of build processes. Watch for future posts. I have a very busy year coming up. I hope to share as much of my experience as I can. Like i said it's just hard to think of breaking the camera out when your in your day to day flow...
Thanks for the interest. I'll try my best.

Really nice work, Nigel. That handrail looks great.
One question though - the home owners don't mind their address being displayed here?

Really nice work.
Thanks for posting.
That location looks idyllic, is it the pacific north west?
Is that rift cut white oak veneer (on mdf) on the fireplace surround? What is the stain/color?
Your door looks great. Is that an interior door or the front door. It's hard to tell.

Yes I'm hoarding the clamps!
It is the front door.
It is in fact rift darn oak in mdf with s charcoal stain.
Two coats brushed urethane with a 320 screen in between.
Finished with a hand rubbed coat of polymerized tung oil.
Vancouver island
Thsnks for the props.

Nice work Nigel. I love working with white oak and the quartered sawn rails look fantastic, I'm looking forward to seeing that finished.

Quick google search show's it's a new build with no homeowners and could be yours at the bargain price o 1.495mil.  But I have to ask is that Canadian or US dollars.

Nice work.  That fireplace miter is amazing!

Canadian$, low bank ocean front private beach...good value if you look at real Estate in Vancouver or Toronto. But I'm not selling it, just working there building it...build cost pretty high too, lots of bells and whistles.
That fire place was fun to build. Would have been way harder without ts55...
Would have done it on the shop cabinet saw and then transported it to site. The mitres would have undoubtedly bern damaged in transit. This way was pretty much easy... Joined three 1400mm tracks together. Set saw to 46 and bang. We blocked out the framing with precision installed backing (to the .5 mm) so the final layup was real smooth. I love it when a plan comes together....
