It is true that 80/20 and Sys AZ is not a good combination in term of cost.  However, the flexibility is unlimited.  I use it as miter/chop saw extension and MFT table.  I have limited space to work with.  I have to be resourceful as much as I can.  I will take pictures of folding MFT and extension when I use it.

This is the total cost so far, $314.60.  It depends on how many Sys AZ you put in.  I just fully populated on side.  That is the total cost at this point without Sys AZ and casters.

I populated another side with Harbor Freight Storage boxes and Festool Sortainers.

The cost does not include folding MFT table in the back and saw extension.

The part list is below.  You don't have to make it as high as mine.  I have limited space, so I have to expand upward.  Another reason is a storage for Festool rails.

I'm new to 8020 but I'd love to make exactly this for my systainers.

I'm having a hard time identifying exactly what parts (for example, the "Left F1-4" is confusing to me).  And, the pricing I'm finding is much higher than on your cost list.

Any chance I could trouble you to help me find the right parts at the right price?

If you go to 8020.net, the price is standard what corporations pay for.  However, I am not corporation so I have to purchase overstock or used aluminum extrusions (but most of them are overstock).  Additional, I also don't buy long pieces unless I really need them.  Most short pieces I need to build cabinet is 12" - 18".  These piece are cheaper.  Finally, my sources of aluminum extrusion are Craigslist and eBay.  There are a couple of 80/20 competitors that sell 80/20 compatible products.  Their price are a little cheaper than 80/20.  You have to consider shipping into your total price as well.

Final suggestion will be "MAKE YOUR OWN CONNECTORS",  Buy 1 1/2 square angle bars to make 90 degree connectors or 3" steel bars to make 3"x3" or 3"x6" connectors.  Most of the costs are connectors as 80/20 imply.

I will take a couple pictures that I use IT communication rack to build storage organizer tomorrow if the weather permits.

Can I make a shout out for Faztek. I have made 10 carts/cabinets using their extrusion. It’s cheaper because you are not paying for the brand name.

You can buy aluminum angle bars or flat aluminum bars and cut to make 90 degree connectors like these.

If you have a good drill press and drill press table, you can do repletable holes or you can make a jig and you will save a lot of money.  You can also use carriage bolts and nuts instead of hex cap screws and t-nuts.

I never did a cost analysis, I just knew that it would be much cheaper that the U slot material.  I think I paid a fabricator that I work with $10.00@ for the pans, the slides were 12" with the overtravel, I can open the lids without removing.  I bought the slides off Ebay...10 slides for $50.00.  They have a rubber nub that prevents them from opening easily.
 
The cheapest is to buy government surplus. For example, I bought this cabinet for $35 plus tax and 2 hour drive to pick it up.

It fits 2 Systainers side-by-side perfectly.  Additionaleach shelf has 2 electrical outlets so I can make it as a charging station. The shelf is removable from the sliders so Sys-2/Sys-3/etc can fit. However, I don't have enough Systainer to fill it in.

I built base as a dolly so I can roll it around the garage.  The cost of the dolly exceed the cost of the cabinet itself.

Storage Organizer

I have communication rack lays around in the garage so I make good use of it.  I used left over aluminum extrusions and cut 12" each.  Then attatched to the communication rack with 90 degree brackets.

It is for medium or light duty.  It is enough for me to fix my car/truck or home repairs.  It does not intend for heavy duty as machine or metal fabrication shops.

There is empty space at the bottom.  My initial idea was to put Systainers back to back with Sys-AZ drawers but I have storage more than what I need at this point so I left it as it is for now.  All of cabinets and carts have the same depth.

I love that hinged system you have going there! I've been looking for a way to mount those two tools efficiently!
