Hi Folks,

I am looking at the 8020 materials for making a table.  Does anyone know if there is a supplier in Canada that handles 89020 or a similar product?

Thanks!

Thanks very much as that seems like a great resource for 8020.  Now I just have to figure out some plans and order materials!

For anyone wanting to plan aluminium slot profile projects, I’ve found MayCAD to be an excellent piece of software. The only downside for people living in the dark ages, is that it’s metric only (specifically, it only has metric profile sizes... the software itself can be used in metric or imperial for measurements):

It also produces a very useful PDF Bill of Materials which makes it very easy to order pre-cut lengths from your retailer of choice (it’s designed primarily for ordering from May Tech themselves).

I don’t bother with any of the connectors or other accessories available in the softwares libraries - I just use it to lay out the design and get accurate lengths for all the profiles. I’ve used it to build a desk with SYS-AZ pedestals either side, and designed a large SYS-Port which I’ve not built yet, but have ordered parts.

The best price I found is FazTek located in Montreal. They also provide profile machining. CPI Automation seems to be a good resource too for 15 series.

I was just about to recommend Faztek! I sometimes accidentally end up on their Canadian website.
