850E planer head change issue

I brought a rustic head yesterday and was going to try it out on the 850E today and for some reason the stock head would not come out after removing the screw/washers. I had to use a wooden block to hammer it off.

Any idea? BTW, it is my first time removing the head.

The heads sometimes stick but all you have to do is insert a firm putty knife between the head and where it is seated on the tool and gently lift until it breaks loose.
