Since its been quite tough to find much of an 8mm Festool router bit selection, I'm looking for input from others here!  I know Lee Valley is offering some 8mm bits and I'm curious if anybody has any experience with these or any others?

I can get 8mm shaft CMT bits. It just takes a few weeks and we have to consult.

You rock Tom!  Thanks!  I'll give a ring to you and see what's available to me & go from there!

Somewhat surprising that Lee Valley doesn't offer any round-over bits in their 8mm shank lineup.  [huh]

Wow, good find.  Those never showed up in my search of their 8mm bits.  Thanks.

(The Lee Valley selection makes buying a Festool 1010 router much more attractive).

Waking this thread up again..

Can anyone speak to the quality of the Lee Valley bits? Seems like they have a good selection, although I often wonder the range of what is available overseas.

Most of my routing will be edging and I want a router that easy to handle and maneuver, 1010 fits the bill very well. But how limited is one going to be with 1/4 and 8mm bits? Do they make panel bits in 8mm? After seeing the CMS at Connect yesterday I may end up going in that direction once I get some projects under  my belt with the 1010.
