Great news Rob!  Many of us are somewhat nervous that Festool may discontinue 8 mm bits altogether so having a vendor like Lee Valley (I'm a long time customer) is a relief.  I'll be looking for that December announcement.

Fortunately Alex - I have 850+ staff backing me up....

By Nov 1st, we will have somewhere between 20-30 staff trained at Festool HQ, and have no intention of stopping there. Don't think we have any learning to do on the customer service side though.... ;D

I can get a 15-piece set of 8mm bits for $350 and a 26-piece set for $550. They aren't stocked on this side of the pond so it takes typically about a month. If you look at the CMT website and pick Europe and English you will see what is available.
