For anyone interested, I am able to confirm that the Shop-Vac 9067900 Right-Angle Round Brush (~US$7) can be used as a 90-degree elbow between Festool dust extractors (and all other dust extractors that utilize a 58mm ID inlet like Starmix and rebranded-Starmix extractors like Metabo, Hitachi, CS Unitec, etc.) and Festool hoses (and other brands of hoses that are fitted with or can be fitted with a friction-fit 57mm (2-1/4") vac-end fitting). To put this in writing: the bristle assembly is easily removed from the "Round Brush" (the two parts simply pull apart) which leaves an elbow, the smaller-diameter-(female)-end of which fits into your vac inlet and the larger-diameter-(male)-end of which accepts the (female) vac-end fitting on your hose, as shown below:

The elbow is smooth inside (no obstructions) but is not anti-static.

In my case I needed it ASAP and the Onieda was going to be a couple days too late. Sometimes ya just gotta figure something else out.

I certainly would have had it been at all clear that it would work for my purposes. The description leaves everything to be desired plus I don't have a DD so didn't have anything to compare to. Now, had the description actually been a description and not the vague totally worthless jumble of words that it is, I would have been led right to it. As it is, this part never even came up during my extensive searching for a compatible elbow. There's no mention of Festool (or any other compatible vac) or the 58mm Euro-standard or the equivalent 1-1/4" standard or any OD or ID dimensions or anything at all that would lead one to believe this elbow would work with anything other than a DD. Total fail as far as I'm concerned. However, now that I know (and now that your comment exists) hopefully people that come after us will be able to benefit accordingly.

Tiny, actually I have mentioned this item in the past and personally use at least eight in various configurations.  I especially like the one on my CT26 as it reduces the amount of protrusion where the hose enters the vac.  I have at four on the two vacs attached to my tablesaw.  I have one on the wall mounted vac for my Makita slider and I know there are others as I know I bought at least eight.
