It stands for Canadian Industries Limited. 

But, they have been bought out by the big conglomerate ICI  .  So, I guess, that there is some equivalent ICI branded paint in the USA.

Thanks.  I have certainly heard of ICI.  They bought out Glidden paints (Cleveland) many years ago.

I was back at the same  in late November for another woodworker's lunch and the fish (this time haddock rather than cod) and chips and beer were just as good.  I don't know why I only go there once a year  ??? -once a week would be better  [drooling].

But this year, I did not pick up any project ideas.
