I don't know any distributors if you mean that. I do know some good and big tool stores that perhaps might be interested.

Well, I sort of fear the costs of shipping such a big item from the States to Europe. But thanks anyway. I'll keep a close eye on your product though.
 
Still no answer if and were in Canada we can buy those products. Of course I could order them directly in the states but customs, exchange rates and shipping cost would be a big killer! My last order from Rockler was worth about $40, after all that other crap I payed over $100 total!

We need a retailer in Canada!
 
Eco.  There is a dealer in Ontario.  I need to dig out the name.  I contacted them about a year ago when I was looking for a metal DD.  Well, the price they gave me was more expensive than shipping it direct from Oneida.  I too was upset by the amount of money that was charged on brokerage and shipping from Rochester NY to Toronto (approximately 200 km distance).  60 for the DD (it was on special), 40 for shipping, 30 bucks for UPS brokerage.  The dealer in ontario wanted 30% on top of this.  Regardless, the DD is well worth it.  I use it for all power tools and the planer with excellent results.

I'm with you on this Wayne.  Even some sweeping 90's would be nice.  Anti-static even better.  I've tried Loc-Line for this, but would like some better fittings.
 
Lee valley sells the pipe and fitting in clear plastic.  I actually have a small clear plastic spool between the DD and the vac so I know when the DD is full.  I don't have my DD on top of the CT, thus I decided to make all other connections with a Mr. Nozzle hose and rubber elbows from the plumbing section from HD.  Works well.  If I had the DD fixed to the CT then  I would opt for the rigid pipe.

I think I'm going to stay with the bucket as well.  Or I can make a plywood box if i need more capacity.  Nice Idea, but 129.00 additional for a plastic box seems a bit high to me. 

Making the board to attach the bucket too only takes a few minutes to make.  Rabbit the edges and cut a couple small slots with a hand saw where the latches attach. 

My vac stays in my home shop as I am a hobby woodworker.  If I were taking it to someones home, I think the festool like box looks more professional and would be worth it.  I suspect that most people who work mobile just use the bags sold by Festool when in someones home where appearance and dust collection are important factors.
 
The 9 gallon container will be available for $169.  It will include everything that will be boxed with the full kit minus the cyclone.  The 9 gallon container will be made of static dissipating industrial grade plastic.  It is also air tight.  It has handles for easy movement.  The lid can be inverted and secured with the cylone on it for easy storage and protection of the cyclone.  At this time we are NOT taking pre-orders on the container alone.

I want to order the entire setup in the 9 gal. size, is the one in the link the 9 gal?
 
Just wondering, can you make that systainer just like that or do you have to get  a license from Festool/Tanos?
 
I really don't think we can complain about the price, think in terms of the supply/demand here and the work involved with producing this specialized thing.

We pay incredibly high prices for flimsy ABS boxes and now say that 170 dollars for a stiffer one with a seal is "ouch"  I think its pretty fair.

Jason whats the skinny on getting your stuff to Canada?
 
The inverted lid idea is pretty clever. And I agree with Inner10. Considering the entire kit costs not much more than a reusable CT bag ($200 for a BAG!) I don't quite understand all the sticker shock. You could make a box easily enough but this looks like a well-designed unit that integrates instantly and seamlessly with Festool CTs, yet can also be quickly hooked up to any shopvac should the need arise. Personally I like it. Far less time spent emptying/replacing bags, presumably longer CT filter life, maintain consistent full suction power, adaptability with other vacs. All good things. Plus it's made in America if that matters to you.

Honestly I'm only hesitating to pre-order because of the reality of being bent over at the Canadian border with customs & duty...
 
We generally try to ship to Canada via U.S.P.S. to keep the costs down.  (I am sure you are aware of the extra cost involved with shipping to Canada)  We do have a distributor in Canada - Welbeck Sawmill ltd - located in Durham, Ontario - 519-369-2144.  He does not have any in stock at this time.

I wish I would have ordered the Clear Vue CV06 when I had the chance.
