A Festool Night Before Christmas...

’Twas the night before Christmas and all thru the shop
Not a tool was a-stirring, not a broom nor a mop

The Festools were nestled snug in their systainers
As they’d come from the factory, on ships in containers

When out on the floor there arose such a clatter
I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter

The problem was simple - before I retired
Some work on a project was clearly required

There was wood to be routed, and boards to be cut
And joints to be made, whether lap-seam or butt

When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But a wall made of Sysrolls, standing ready and near.

I said not a word, but went straight to my work
The tools ran so smooth - not a shudder or jerk

I used them in turn, and to each gave a try
Their finesse and precision so amazing, oh my!

On Rotex, on Kapex, on Carvex and more
On Planex, and Cleantec’s - oh, you’re making me poor!

But you’re pleasant to work with, a delight just to hold
You have fabulous function, tho' your price is like gold

It’s hard to explain, and some think you’re a fool
but you know that you always reach first for Festool

Though I beveled and chamfered and sanded and more
My faithful CT kept all dust off the floor

In a flash I was finished, my project complete
With lines clean and perfect, and finish so sweet

That I had to exclaim, as I turned out the light
Have a Festool green Christmas, and to all a good night!

All I can say, is WOW... and hoping you have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS, Wayne!

Tom

Wayne... Aka "WOW"

To you and Mrs. Wow have a very Merry Christmas and a healthy happy new year!

From a very warm green British Columbia this year

Lol.  Very good - but beginning to wonder if too much time on your hands  [unsure]  [big grin]
(Do I sense a Festool poem competition in the offing?)
Btw - does Mrs Wow make mince pies; no mention as yet??  [scratch chin]
Have a great Christmas, and, all the best for the coming year.
Richard.

She made a couple years ago, but no one in our family likes them. She *was* told  by those that had some of it that hers was delicious.

[thumbs up]

One of her specialties is what's called a 'Johnny Appleseed' pie. I'll see if I can:

a) get her to make one, and
b) get a picture of it before it disappears.

And trust me - the first part is easier than the second!

[embarassed]...and guilty!

Excellent ditty , but what did you make  [smile]  [poke] [poke]

I invoke poetic license!

[big grin]

I haven't felt well enough to spend time in the shop for the last month or so. Hopefully that will change - soon!

That's so good, if I were Festool USA I'd have to reward such creativity with a tool of your choice :D
