[size=13pt]G Day Cobbers. Have a chuckle at this!
For non Aussies, this is your 4 min guide of 'education' time.  [smile]

And a 'Dovalacky' is that thing/tool/attachment over there that I cannot remember the name of! A common tool on Aussie worksites and in shops.

VAMP

. . . . . . .  an attractive, dangerously flirtatious woman. A vamp in an old movie might wear tight clothes and bright red lipstick.

Urgghhh - She looks pretty, then the mouth opens [sad] [embarassed]

I'm guessing most "Australians" that make it into celebrity in the US are from an acting or modelling profession. Not the best examples of Aussies. The thing that makes me cringe more than anything is an American trying to put on an Australian accent .. the act truly deserves raw death penalty and should be avoided at any cost .... Gard Bwess Amerrycar !!!

Maybe I am more tolerant than I should be?

Perhaps it would help to know that hearing a Yankee (northern American) attempt to speak Southern in movies is just as unbearable to watch and cringe worthy. Like nails on a chalkboard. We can't get an accent right in our own backyard I can't imagine how bad we butcher one on the other side of the world.  In fairness I do a lousy New Yorker too.
