A little trick for domino users that smoke a pipe! :)

It has been quite a while since my last post here but it takes a lot of time to prepare a post especially having in mind that English is not my native language! Today I decided to share with you a little trick that I use with domino glue ups.

If you ever smoked a pipe than you certainly know that a pipe has to be cleaned regularly. Actually it takes more time to clean a pipe than to smoke it. Anyway there are a lot of gadgets that help you to accomplish the cleaning task better. One kind of these gadgets you can see on the pictures below. I even do not know the proper word in English for these little things. 5 years ago when I stopped smoking I decided not to throw them away but to find a way to use them in my shop.

So I use them already 5 years for all kind of glue ups and I can confirm that they are very handy for this kind of jobs. But they really excel when you have to glue up dominos. They help to spread the glue perfectly without a mess and when you use a part of the stick you can just cut off the used part and go on with a fresh part of the stick.

Great Tip!  The english term for those is pipe cleaners.  I admit that I haven't seen one of those in years.

A quick search shows that the normal size ones are 4mm diameter and the jumbo size are 6mm.

That's a great idea!  I know I have some of those around somewhere that I forgot about.  I'll have to pull them out and put them to use.
