I replaced my old cook top with induction. It is easily the safest to use. (If a pot gets too hot, it shuts down, and burners stay hot for less than a minute, and finally no risk of a gas leak.)Ya, but you've also eliminated 50% of the work. It makes for quicker supper-to-table times. Next incremental improvement...induction burners.
And as a plus, the most evenly heated pots and pans.
