Just saw this on the updated Australian Festool site.

My guess is this will turn from orange to green and find it's way to the wild west as the impact driver to covet !

I doubt it, it's still not an impact driver, but an impact wrench; which means extra noise and weight.

It is - about 2.3kg (or 5lb in old speak)

The new IWC 18-2 model was already in the PDF catalogue 2012 here in Holland.
Although I have never seen the model live in the shops.
But since then it also disappeared from the web-site as well.

It might have to do something with the latest rumour about a completely new Impact from the new Fes/Protool movement.
Maybe it will appear in the fall this year.
