I did not want to hijack http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tool-problems/can-you-replace-a-bent-base-plate-on-a-ts55-saw/msg0/?topicseen#new]this thread,[/url] so started a new topic.

I've always feared tripping over the vac hose, and dragging any one of my prized Festool's off of a bench to the floor.

So I've trained myself to be disciplined and do the following.

The TS-55 systainer is latched to the CT-26.

When using the TS-55, it is rested inside the open systainer at a 45* angle, so as to encapsulate it, and keep it from falling should I ever snag the hose.

When using a sander, I latch it to the TS-55 systainer, and do the same thing.

The router, replace the TS-55 on the CT-26.

It takes a few seconds more, but I feel better about it.

HTH.

WHAT YOU DON'T HIRE FESTOOL TOOL BEARERS TO HOLD THE TOOLS?  [jawdrop] [poke]

I just toss mine on the floor, ground or dirt pile.

Be careful... the Festool gods may smite your warranty.  [sad]

Believe it or not, Steve, that is the reason for such a robust warranty...

I'm surprised you guys are still referring to your tools by model number ... I've had all of mine christened into the family.
