I did not want to hijack http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tool-problems/can-you-replace-a-bent-base-plate-on-a-ts55-saw/msg0/?topicseen#new]this thread,[/url] so started a new topic.
I've always feared tripping over the vac hose, and dragging any one of my prized Festool's off of a bench to the floor.
So I've trained myself to be disciplined and do the following.
The TS-55 systainer is latched to the CT-26.
When using the TS-55, it is rested inside the open systainer at a 45* angle, so as to encapsulate it, and keep it from falling should I ever snag the hose.
When using a sander, I latch it to the TS-55 systainer, and do the same thing.
The router, replace the TS-55 on the CT-26.
It takes a few seconds more, but I feel better about it.
