ABS Edge banding and how to apply it

HI,

Looking at making some melamine MFC Wardrobes in my house and maybe more in future (if it's a success). From looking around Egger or Kronospan seem to be the big boys in this sort of stuff.

My issue is with the edge banding and ABS edging. Can the 0.4mm stuff and maybe thicker be applying with an iron like the edging you get from say howdens, B&Q with their kitchens?
Does the edging have the glue on it or can you add that?

I'm really stuck so your help would be appreciated.  ???

Where abouts are you ? Find a company like I use that will supply it all cut and edged. I use Cutwrights they're good

I found a visited Westbury James who do all that but they're prices are so expensive it's unreal.

How I apply it is to bring a cut list to the shop and get it done...
Then complain to (haus) boss about how much work it was.

I've had very good results using Fastcap Fastedge peel and stick edgebanding.  Have never had any come loose and very quick and easy to apply.  Get one of the FastCap Quad Edge Banding Trimmers, really speeds up trimming.

They're not far from kempton race course. They do deliver but you might find someone similar in Essex

North West Kitchen Doors In Preston Lancashire do mail order.  They will do any carcase size and edge combination you want (long, short edges, 1 edge ,2 or whatever you like ) good people to deal with

I don't know which part of Essex you are in Tom, but you could try Alexander Cleghorn In Tiptree.
