Today I received my Accessory Kit for Carvex Jigsaw - 497709. Nice kit, but there were loose parts everywhere inside of the systainer and the card that goes on the lid was all chewed up. Can someone tell me where all the pieces go - or better yet, post a picture of the inside? A couple of items are obvious, but I have a lot of pieces that I don't know what to do with...

BTW I looked at the Festool website and did a google image search, but so far I'm not coming up with a lot of help?

Thank you - that helps a LOT!

Contact FestoolUSA.  I have ordered replacement inserts and Systainer lid cards for a few items in the past and they tend to stock them.

What goes in all the empty spaces?  Looks like there's room for additional accessories?  I'm assuming there's a Whia driver that goes in the center?!

I don't think the set comes with any driver, at least mine didn't - and don't know what you would need a driver for anyhow. Most of my other Systainer inserts have open spots for other items, it may be that the Carvex set has additional items in other countries...? As far as I recall, everything pictured is what was included.

Here is a list if what's included, just FYI:
•4 Base Inserts (497298, 497299, 497300, 497301)
•Angle Base (496134)
•Base Adapter (497303)
•Circle Cutter (497304)
•Splinterguard (5 pieces) (490120)
•SYS 2 TL (497564)

Okay,

What goes in the empty spaces?    [poke]

Mine came with shipping air pillows around the bases.  This is a plus and I think they should be in more new tools from the factory.

What's up with the lid insert and no picture, I'm like Seinfeld, I don't get it?

Shane?

The empty spaces are where you put the air pillows.  [poke]

I does kind of look like a driver could go there in the center, doesn't it? What would said driver be used for, though? I can't think of a single use for it related to the Carvex or its accessories...

This is going to drive me crazy.  [mad]  Not that I need everything for every tool, just can't justify the wasted space.

I will use the space to the right for a plug-it cord.  Mostly use a plug-it hose and change out.  Some tools that can be used w/o dust collection in a pinch, I have the cord handy.

Could a straight driver work on the blade guides maybe?

Hard to tell from the pictures but will the dust port tube fit?  On edge?

First thought I had but doesn't fit in.

Seth,  I think a custom Systainer is in my future.

Thx. Sam

my accessory kit is on the way to me right now so i can't speak for what exactly will be set up in there.  but an interesting note from tom at tool home when i ordered it was that the kit will include a switch clip  to keep the machine on if you were mounting it in a table insert upside down--one of those naina things.    perhaps the systainer insert mold is made up to be common with the european one that includes other things in their kit maybe--just a guess.
in any case it would't matter to me, what festool thinks should go in my case.  i usually pack my systainers with all kinds of stuff that's related to the tool and sometimes take out the insert altogether or make my own.  i would rather open less systainers to do a job than have everything all displayed super duper like at some tool show.
