Add "Festool Info and Vendors" Category

In this post, one of the posters asked if it would be possible to add a direct link to Festool. http://festoolownersgroup.com/index.php?topic=44.0.  I think that's a great idea and would like to extend it...

How about a new category under "FESTOOL OFFERINGS" called something like "Festool Info and Vendors"?    The idea is that Festool and Festool Vendors would be allowed to place company info and links to their company.  Vendors would be encouraged to post quality links to Festool resources.

The category would be governed by simple rules like:
- Vendor must sell Festool-brand products.
- Only ONE thread per vendor with info about their company and links to their site.
- No over-the-top hype.
- No mention of other competitors.
- No spamming of members.

This would allow current and prospective Festool owners to quickly get Festool info and find vendors of Festool products.  For example, on Bob Marino's site is a link to Rick Christopherson's excellent TS55 manual:http://www.bobmarinosbesttools.com/docs/TS55EQ.pdf.

This is something I have thought about a lot.  It could be a good service to members, if it is done correctly.

I'm thinking the best way to go is to create a vendor area, and test it out, with some reasonable rules.  As long as it's separated from the main tool-discussion areas, I suppose it can't hurt!
