I'm having some success using my HL 850 E planer with the WA-HL angle stop to plane the edges of 3/4" stock - but it's awfully easy to drift away from the board a bit and now you have an odd angle. The key seems in keeping uniform pressure holding the Angle Stop's fence against the face of the wood. It helps to extend the angle stop out a bit in front of the planer to safely keep pressure against the wood - I wonder if putting a handle of some kind in the bracket slot would be helpful - Since Festool discontinued, and you all are hoarding (apparently!  :(), the bench units for the 850 planer, this seems like it might help. Anyone done this? Thinking of something like this:http://www.rockler.com/rockler-easy-to-grip-5-star-fence-knobs-pair
