Hi guys!

Really excited as I'm closing in on my first Festool purchase! Here's what I'm getting:
- Rotex 150
-> Assortment of Rubin 2, Brilliant 2, Vlies and Platin abrasives
- CTL 26
-> Cleanup systainer
- TS 55
-> 1400mm track

As I live in Norway, and theres only 1 importer to buy from with insane prices (at least for private customers), I'll be ordering online (from Denmark, they have 230v and same plug). Seeing as acessories are really important I wanna make sure I'm not forgetting anything when I order.

The first projects I'll be working on:
- Sanding down beech kitchen benchtop to oil it up again.
- Build a workbench based on the MFT-system
- Build a media-bench for my stereo/TV.

Any tips on things I'm forgetting here?

Thanks!

Will you be cutting sheet goods that are longer than your 1400mm track? If so you might want to get another one and the connectors. I ended up with the two 1400mm tracks and then the shorter 800 (32") track. Also get one of the track guards or the track accessory pack if that is available to you. It includes two connectors and the track guard. Of course my experience is on what is available to me in USA, but you should have more options I think :-)

Get the LR 32 compatible rails instead of the basic 1400. That way you can use the system later on. I would add a router to that list 1010 or 1400 as it is one of the most versatile tool in the shop.

Have fun,

Bruce

Welcome to the forum.  You might want to think about a hard pad for the RO150.  It helps with flattening and also helps keep edges crisp.

I would add a hard sanding pad for your rotex especially as you want to maintain a flat kitchen top and workbench after sanding (as Peter just said!), the holed track as aforementioned, a hose deflector for your rail to stop the hose from snagging, some extra bags for the dust extractor, and I would forget the Platin abrasives as based on your project list they won't be necessary.

Congratulations and enjoy the new tools!

+1 allways a good idea to get the lr32 track

I would recommend everything above, especially the hard pad for the Rotex, and I would add a 5m long 36 mm hose.

Peter

- The hard pad for the Rotex
- Get a 5 pack Saphir 50 grit sandpaper. Very nice to have in case you really need it for a tough job. These disks hold out forever. I threw one away last week, because the pad was worn on the BACK side, not the front. I'd forget about the vlies and platin, those are hardly used.
- Get and extra plug-it cord as a spare. Or at least the plug. These things break too easily.

- Don't forget extra bags for the CTL26
- A 36mm hose would be really nice if you're willing to spend the money.

- Extra 1400 mm track & connectors. It's best to have two rails so you can cut full sheets.
- Spare splinter guards for the saw.

Welcome to the forum!  I would recommend the accessories already mentioned.  You might want to pick up an extra blade or two for different material.  The standard blade is great, but a Panther blade will allow you to rip hardwoods easier/faster.  Enjoy your new tools.

Wow, thanks for all the replies guys!

I forgot to mention that I was already getting a hard pad with the abrasives. I'll add some Saphir, thanks for the tip. I'm gonna stick with Vlies and Platin as I have some other projects in mind where they can come in handy. Also I want the possibility to grind to a perfect finish if I want to. Like in this video:

I dont think I will be getting a second track, already have a 800mm one (with a deflector). Even though they wont do a full sheet, I dont see the need for that for at least another 3 years, so I'm gonna hold out. The LR32 was a good tip, and its worth the extra price over the regular one indeed. It seems the store I'm buying from only bundles the TS 55 with regular tracks (not sold loose), so this would either mean I'd have to buy two tracks, or find another store.

A OF 1400 is high on the wish list, but wont make the cut this time. The store doesnt seem to carry loose hoses, but I will probably pick up a pack of 3 extra plugit cables. I had also forgotten about the bags, thanks alot!
