Adjusting HKC55 to guide rail splinter guard

I have a TS75 and an HKC55.  My FS guide rails splinter strips were cut for the TS75 that I bought first.  I was working with my HKC55 to cut some plywood using the FS rail, and neglected to adjust the HKC to cut at the existing splinter strip so that I can use my rails with both saws.  Needless to say, I ended up cutting it tighter to the rail, so the TS75 no longer cuts accurately on the splinter strip.  I looked in the HKC55 manual, and could not find the instructions on how to make the adjustment.

Can anyone give me some pointers here?

Thanks,
Charles

Hello, there is a supplemental manual available from Festool that covers how to do that. Do a search or hopefully someone will provide a link.

I looked at the TS55 supplemental manual, there is none as far as I know for the HKC55.  The procedure for rail adjustment is on page 22.

The bottom of the HKC55 looks like the TS55 EQ with screws on the bottom.  The front of the saw has those screws accessible from the top using a 2mm allen key.  But the back screws seem to be blocked by the bevel guage.

Has anyone performed this procedure on the HKC55?

I have not had to do that yet. Could you try adjusting the TS-75 to match the HK? You can reposition the splinter guard strip or replace it.

That's exactly what I did. The HKC cut the closest to the rail so I adjusted the TSC & TS 55 to the same dimension as the HKC. Now I'll have to see if I can make the MT 55 match the HKC.

I did call Festool yesterday, and they said that you should just tighten the accessible screws from the top.  That should be enough to hold the saw in place enough to flip it over and tighten the other set from the bottom.  I haven't yet tried it, but will let everyone knows how it goes when I get a chance.
