In a post an hour ago I asked if it was possible for a Kapex to be good at 90*, but off at 45*.

Well...  I checked the bevel angle and it is off by .5*.  I am not sure how that could be causing my problem, but it should certainly be fixed first.

Rick's guide says it is complicated.  Why can't I just move the bevel index pointers a half degree?  That seems real simple.  There aren't any hard stops like on the miter angle.  What am i missing?

There are hard stops at 90 and 45 degrees. (set the range selection knob to 0 - 45 or -45 - 45). You'd want those to "bottom out" at exactly 45 and 0 (90).

Okay, I loosened the two bolts and adjusted it using a tilt box.  I figured it would take a certain amount of trial and error, but it came out to .04* on two tests after my first try.  Can't beat that, and it wasn't very difficult.  So my bevel is in line, but my miters still aren't.  Please see the post below (or above, however it works out.)
